How can I access Motive Online Banking on my smartphone?

Motive Online Banking has been optimized for smartphones through:

  • Mobile web banking, which works on all smartphones without needing to download or install an application
  • Mobile banking apps

If you have already signed up for Motive Online Banking, you can visit the mobile web banking home page and log in using the same client card / access number and PAC you use for online banking. What does mobile web banking cost?

Although Motive Financial will not charge you any fees for using mobile web banking, your wireless service provider may charge you a data usage fee. Check with your wireless service provider to determine if any data usage fees will apply to you.

What can I do with mobile web banking?

Mobile web banking offers most of the same functionality as the full version of Motive Online Banking, but it's optimized for use on a mobile device screen. With mobile web banking, you can:

  • Quickly view your account balances
  • Manage multiple accounts
  • View previous and upcoming transactions
  • Pay bills and transfer money now, or schedule future payments
  • Send Interac® e-Transfers

For security reasons, some activities have been limited on mobile web banking. You must use the full version of Motive Online Banking to:

  • Set up a bill payee
  • Change your account password

Is it safe to use my mobile device for banking?

Yes, mobile web banking has the same high level of security measures as the full version of Motive Online Banking, including:

  • Encryption – CWB uses 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption, which is accepted as the industry standard.
  • Session time-out – if you forget to log out, or your mobile device remains inactive during your session, our systems will automatically log you out.
  • If you lose your phone, your accounts can only be accessed if someone has your login information.
